Paw Paw Margarita
Ingredients
- 1 oz Orange Liqueur
- 2 oz Tequila Blanco
- 1 oz Lime juice
- 1/4 oz agave syrup (or to taste)
- 1 oz Paw Paw Puree
Preparation Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker.
- Shake well until chilled.
- Rim Glass with Salt, or Tajin (Optional).
- Strain over ice.
- Garnish with a Lime.
When Paw Paws are in season, this is hands down the best cocktail to make with them! The addition of Paw Paws to a Margarita is a wonderful enhancement that results in a tropical tasting Margarita, with the consistency of a piña colada. It's almost like a smoothie. While I do enjoy the pulp from the Paw Paw, keep in mind that you can always double strain your beverage to have less pulp. For the Orange Liqueur, I like to use Grand Marnier or Cointreau, but Triple Sec or other substitutes will also work.
