Introduction from the Author

Ever since I turned 21, I've had a taste for tequila, but recently I've discovered the infinite possibilities of the agave plant, and I just can't get enough! Although I'm fairly new to the agave scene, I'm determined to learn everything I can about agave, spirits production, sustainable agriculture, and more. A big focus of mine is sharing the information I've learned, and that's why I've created Agave Americano. I'm someone who's committed to being a lifelong learner, and I want to share what I've learned with you! Along the way, I'll also be sharing my opinions and aim to keep it as honest and open as I can.

As I embark on this agave journey, I think it's important to acknowledge that agave is to be feared and respected. The agave plant itself is quite a physical danger and not something you want to touch for fun! More importantly, however, the alcohol products made from agave can have serious consequences if not respected. Abuse of these products and even regular consumption of agave-derived alcohol can impact your health, well-being, and the well-being of others. It's important to remember that drinking agave spirits and other alcohol is a privilege and not necessarily for everyone. I encourage my readers to respect the agave they consume, but more importantly, respect yourself and know your limits. Never forget that there are plenty of alternative ways to celebrate, and that the best times in life are had without alcohol.
